our projects

As our nation adds 90 million people within 25 years, it will become even more important to absorb growth within compact new communities, revitalize the fabric of cities and suburbs, and reverse decades of auto-driven development.

Since 1983, Ken Kay Associates has become internationally recognized for designs and plans that improve cities and suburbs while protecting the environment. From 1975-1983 the firm was EckboKay Associates.

Ken Kay Associates integrates landscape urbanism, ecology, natural systems and the principles of town-making to create sustainable, livable communities with positive effects to climate change and quality of life.

.

Applying timeless lessons to modern concerns, we prepare master plans, specific plans, design guidelines and form-based codes for cities and the development community.

Our diverse work spans urban waterfronts, urban vitalization, new communities, educational campuses, new workplaces, cultural places, resorts, and gardens.

Before proposing solutions, we engage the community, study requirements for entitlements, and investigate ecological needs. The hallmark of our firm is our successful long-term relationships with our clients. Invariably, our plans meet public approval and generate economic success.
