Corporate Campuses

Silicon Valley, California

Two of our projects integrate the workplace into new and existing communities. At the 27-acre 3Com Campus in Santa Clara, Ken Kay Associates and Studios Architecture arranged eight buildings for 4,000 employees around attractive courtyards and plazas. These spaces are readily accessible for recreation, meetings, and special events. The site plan provides efficient circulation and preserves wetlands. The campus has been built out in phases, with other landscape architects adding their designs to the comprehensive master plan established by Ken Kay Associates.

In Sunnyvale, we planned a transit-friendly suburban office park for Juniper Networks. To reduce walking distances from a transit stop to the employee entrance, the site plan places parking behind the building. Commuters stroll through a shaded garden to Juniper's front door. Bioswales provide wildlife habitat and avoid the infrastructure costs of subsurface drainage.
