Long before ecotourism became a buzzword, Ken Kay Associates was designing ecologically sensitive resorts in the U.S. and Mexico. Our understanding of the importance of “sense of place” includes our familiarity of native plants and environmental conditions. This intimate knowledge has informed our designs and plans to enhance the natural and cultural settings at our resorts. With careful treatment of sensitive sites, we blend in new construction with select local materials and native plantings.
