Salvador Davila

Associate

Salvador Davila joined Ken Kay Associates in 2003 and is an Associate, Project Manager, and designer involved in a wide-range of the firm’s projects. He has contributed to major projects in California, such as Hitachi Global Storage Technologies parks and streets in San Jose, Downtown Vallejo Specific Plan and Design Guidelines, and Forest City Uptown mixed-use development in Oakland, as well as the Chileno Bay Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Salvador previously worked for several California firms, including Projects Pacific in Berkeley, Purkiss-Rose-RSI in Fullerton, and Phil May Landscape Architect in San Dimas.

Salvador received his Masters degree in landscape architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from California Polytechnic State University in Pomona. Salvador is a native of Southern California and is fluent in Spanish.

Craig Kay

Associate, Business Manager

Craig Kay joined Ken Kay Associates in October 2000. In addition to day-to-day management of the firm, he is involved in human resources management for the entire staff, coordination and administration of project finances, and management of agreements, contracts, and proposals.

Craig previously worked as a community services coordinator for a nonprofit organization, where he developed managerial skills by tracking, entering, and filing vital personal information and paperwork according to guidelines of the State of California, the Golden Gate Regional Center, and the U.S. Department of Labor. He graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor’s degree in sociology.

Yasmine Farazian

Associate

Yasmine Farazian has been with Ken Kay Associates since 2005. She has worked as an associate and project manager and her focus has been on urban design, master planning, and landscape architecture. Her strong communication and graphic skills have allowed her to work on a variety of complex projects. She has contributed to projects such as The 1st ACT Vision for Downtown San Jose, The NASA Research Park at Moffett Field and The Coldstream Master Plan in Truckee, California). Yasmine also works closely with Ken in the creation of comprehensive lectures and presentations.

Prior to working at Ken Kay Associates, Yasmine worked in the Middle East. She worked as a researcher and translator for Sakht Ajand Real Estate Investment Co. Tehran, Iran, on possible mixed-use development along the Tehran inner city and Tehran- Karaj Metro lines.

Yasmine has received an ASLA Northern California Chapter Honor Award, College of Environmental Design Department Citation Award for Scholastic Excellence, and a Gold Medal for design originality in a design/build competition at the San Francisco Flower & Garden Show in 2005. She received a Bachelor’s of Art in Landscape Architecture degree from the University of California-Berkeley. Yasmine has lived in Australia, Iran and the United States which have allowed her to appreciate the importance of site-sensitive design.
